Everyone has heard and seen the timeless style of an all white kitchen; the cabinetry and countertops a pristine bright color that opens up the room and continues to be a mainstay in traditional and contemporary styles alike. Recently, newer and bolder hues have been dominating designs in the kitchen and bathroom design world. Rich and dark colors with infinite depth and unmatchable character have been becoming more mainstream. Below you see an example of a dark countertop installed on one of our project’s that also showcases a dark island In Silestone’s Charcoal Soapstone color with a suede finish.

Darker colors are becoming more prominent in kitchen designs as clientele want bolder and more unique designs for their spaces. As the popularity in these denser hues has grown; companies have unveiled a plethora of new colors that embrace this ongoing trend.

Above is another project design by AKB Chicago that displays Silestone’s Eternal Marquina quartz; a dramatic counter with stark white veining on the perimeter of this kitchen.

Lastly, above we have pictured a bathroom vanity that utilized Caesarstone’s Vanilla Noir color to create a stark contrast with the white painted cabinetry. This dramatic color has very active, muted yellow veining running throughout the surface to compliment the density of the quartz.

There’s always something new to learn about what surface is appropriate for a dream space but hopefully this blog post has covered some of the basics and perhaps even inspired your next design decision!  To view additional pictures of these projects, please visit our remodel project gallery by clicking here.
